Generally, what's Medici's style of wedding cinematography?
We prefer to stay quiet and out of the way. We like candids more than any, but we have also been known to set a few shots up if the situation presents itself. We train our filmmaking team to be very reactionary and quick minded. The nature of filming live events such as weddings requires us to move fast and swift to make sure we're in the right position at the right moment. We also recognize the importance of deodorant and a light touch of cologne/perfume.

What is 'coverage'?
Coverage is the amount of time we will be present at the wedding/event. More coverage means more options, which also means a more complete story.

Do you guys ever butt heads with the photographers?
We become BFFs with the photographers almost instantly. If there's a chance, we reach out to them prior to the wedding to get a feel for how they shoot and approach their craft. On the day-of, much communication and preparation goes into making sure we both capture what the couple expects us to capture. We're kind of awesome, relaxed and flexible, so photographers almost always like working with us. Plus, sometimes I borrow their creative candor if they did something that might be valuable in motion form.

What is a 'Save the Date' video?
4-6 minutes in length, the 'Love Story' is your chance to record history. Not only to surprise your wedding guests at the reception with or possibly include in your invitations, but to immortalize your story and all the little quirks about your love for each other so that future generations can relive your love. Like the 'Save the Date', we flex our creative muscles, tying in all the different and unique elements of your relationship. Comfortable and relaxed interviews are usually incorporated along with traveling to significant locations to your relationship (first date, proposal site, special place, etc.). Relaxed and candid is generally our mode of operation, although reenactments are also a possibility. :)

What is a 'Rehearsal Night' highlight video?
3-4 minutes in length, the 'Rehearsal Night' video is a creatively compiled short highlight film of all the best moments of the rehearsal night. It's typical for toasts and other important speeches to be given along with certain ceremonies that don't happen on the wedding day. If there's a lot of relatives and friends flying in from distant lands, sometimes its a good idea to get a little extra film coverage in a more intimate setting.

Does Medici travel nationally/internationally?
Yes, we're geared to travel anywhere in the world to capture your wedding.

Do we get all the unedited footage also?
Yes, we put all the unedited footage on a separate set of DVDs.

How much is your reservation deposit? When's the final balance due?
50% non-refundable deposit locks in your date with us. The final balance is due 10 days following the wedding.

How long does a couple have to wait to receive their film and DVDs?
For most weddings we will have your wedding film posted within 3-6 months. DVDs and Unedited footage is delivered shortly after.
